Notes on Kyoto and Japan

I am Kenzo Take, an architect, currently deputy director at a architectural design firm base in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan and chief of representative office of AAR+ Japan in Vietnam. I am also partly working as a researcher at Kyoto University. I obtained my PhD in 2011 from Kyoto University’s Department of Urban Management.

My research and works interests span over architectural design, urban and infrastructural planning and management, computable general equilibrium (CGE) model, net-zero building (ZEB/ZEH) and sustainable development.

Aside from academia, I am an amateur guitarist, and photographer. Friends call me archivu.

PS: to register a website with a domain「dot kyoto」, I need to be a resident of Kyoto, prove strong connections with the city and need to pay annual fee at more than ten times compares to normal domain for whenin.kyoto
